About Physician Assisted Suicide

The Cape Cod Pro-Life Alliance invited the nationally recognized speaker Reverend Tadeusz Pacholczyk (Father Tad) to present and lead a discussion on Physician Assisted Suicide and End of Life Care. The event was sponsored by the Alliance, St. Joan of Arc in Orleans, Knights of Columbus councils across Cape Cod and the Respect Life Ministries at Corpus Christi and Christ the King.

Fr. Tad proved to be an engaging and insightful speaker. He writes and speaks widely on bioethics and medical ethics. He currently serves as Senior Ethicist at The National Catholic Bioethics Center in Philadelphia. Since 2001 he has given several hundred presentations and invited lectures, and participated in debates and roundtables on contemporary bioethics throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.  Click this link to learn more about Father Tad: https://www.fathertad.com/father-tad/bio/

His presentation covered basic moral principles that help guide all Christians in
medical decision making and assist us in helping our loved ones to live out their final days with the true dignity each human person deserves. Father Tad covered physician-assisted suicide, medical orders for life sustaining treatment (MOLST) and the importance of having a Christian Health Care Proxy.  Father Tad answered many questions from the over 200 persons who attended the event.

Supporters of physician-assisted suicide, or so called mercy-killings of the elderly and the infirm, continue their efforts to legalize this in Massachusetts. We urge all Christians and people of good will from all faiths to reject this unconscionable affront to natural law and to Christ’s teachings on the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.
